Materials:  chunky yarn in two colors, 7mm hook (or the one necessary for your yarn)

Stitches: dc, sc, fpdc, sl st, magic ring.

Start with a magic ring.

Rnd 1: Ch2, (it never counts as a first dc). 12 dc in ring, slst with first dc.

Rnd 2: Ch2, dc in same st. 2 dc in each around, slst in first dc. (24 dc)

Rnd 3: Ch2, dc in same st. *1 dc in next, 2 dc in next*, repeat around, slst in first dc. (36 dc)

Rnd 4: Ch2, dc in same st.  1 dc in next 17 st, 2 dc in next, 1 dc in each st, slst in first dc. (38 dc)

Rnd 5: Ch2, dc in same st and 1dc in each, slst in first dc. (38 dc)

Rnd 6-9: Ch2, *fpdc in next, dc in next”, repeat, sl st in first fpdc.

Rnd 10: Change to contrast color. Ch 1, 1 sc in each st. Fasten off.

Size is for 3-6 months, if you want a smaller size you can use lighter yarn or skip rnd5, for bigger, add another round after round 3, (*1 dc in next to st, 2 dc in next*).
